News:DJ JB International:After a much needed break in 2009 The Bofi/Crownn Recording Group decided to get off the back of the Loch Ness monster and signed one of South Africa´s premier house/funk/hip hop DJ´s and producer in JB International. The multi-talented DJ/Producer is scheduled to release his first “international vinly and digital download” on February 22nd, 2010 titled “Electro Therapy”.

Meet PIC VICIOUS. Formed in October 2007, lead vocalist/lyricist Pic, hype-girl Letta V., and power-producer Devcon aka Dev Vicious – PIC VICIOUS bring a unique energy, sound and look to the world of electronic music. With an infectious sound and “vaudevillain meets glam” stage presence, PV serves as modern-day dream makers, weaving a sound that waves somewhere between the familiar and the intriguing unknown. Comparisons range from 80’s Bowie to She Wants Revenge to Gorillaz to Outkast to the B-52’s. So far, PIC VICIOUS has created a solid indie-buzz with online single and music video “Systematik”and current single “L.A. Dreamer” which has been rapidly gaining love and support from all over the world via an active myspace, online and local radio, along with it being the next music video the group is launching as of October 2008. March 2008:Ratrun: a well kept in house secret.. the band composed of Crownn family members from Nov. 1998. This "Animal Bedsit" album- took two years to write and record. The band are currently preparing for a series of Irish dates to coincide with the release of "Animal Bedsit" March 28th! January 2008:Happy New Year everyone! Last year we have seen a lot of our work colleagues succumb to most of the unpleasant parts of this crazy artistic world we continue to develop and we have witnessed some of our closet allies conquer sales and expectations that they could have never have dreamed of. Either way we feel fortunate to have experienced benefits of surviving an intentional transitional year from 2006-2007!- As the saying goes "Tough times don't last tough people do!" . It has been fun and without the continued support from Caroline Hanks, Tamara Conboy, Afrika "get your papers" Islam, Jeff Williams there is absolutely no way we would have been in a position to sell records and put up with all the hand outs/suckers in this business. Finally we can confirm from KKT Booking in Germany that The Beautiful Girls are touring Germany, Austria, Switzerland Nov. 11th- Dec 07 in support of the single "In Love" and third album "Ziggurats" scheduled October 26th release. For those of you that is in the G.A.S area check national listings (all major national magazines and news papers for details).

We are surprised as you are! Although Fear Knocked: Faith Answered: AND NOONE WAS THERE! (ref. year 2006) July- August 2007:Summer might be on the way, but it’s a dark and cold life in the city. Out In The West Records’ production prodigy Beezwax has experienced the urban hustle firsthand in Paris and Berlin before relocating to London. On ‘Sting Operation’, he enlists the cream of aspiring talent from the metropolis to bring vivid and impassioned reportage on the grim realities of the daily struggle for his accomplished and heartfelt debut album. An impressive roster of the nation’s new generation of lyrical masters heeded the call. Some names, like Taurus, Sick Sense Cru, Keys and Triggs might be new to your ears. Others, such as Kyza, Yungun, Mr Ti2bs, SuparNovar, Genesis Elijah, Stylah or Terra Firma’s Klashnekoff and Skriblah have already cemented their credentials. Those present address the harsh truths of gun crime, poverty, drugs, depression and the temptations borne of desperation in the wasteland of the estates. Yet this is no shallow glorification of violence and money, nor are these bland, sentimental exercises in affected blues or a wallowing in some misplaced self-pity. The star that shines brightest, though, is Beezwax himself. He is influenced by a wide range of styles including French and German Hip Hop, world music and Drum & Bass. Beezwax blends synth-based beds with organic, melancholy strings and piano motifs into original, wistful and often elegant sonic backdrops. Along the way he impresses with the powerfully moving strings marshalled for Klashnekoff’s ‘All I Got Refix’, the Persian strains of ‘Everything Or Nuthin’ with Genesis Elijah and the insistent harpsichord on ‘English Kids’ featuring Stylah of Poisonous Poets and SuparNovar. He also easily adopts London’s gruff Grime stylings into his beat portfolio on tracks like ‘Jojo’s’ and ‘Pimp Principle’, adding the idiosyncratic sophistication of middle-eastern riffs.
